Documentary Evidence + Affidavits

  • Untagging: Submissions can be untagged as evidence at the judge's discretion.

  • Restrictions: No tagging/untagging allowed once the judgement is passed or the case is in the ‘Disposed’ stage.

  • Functionality: Users can upload documentary evidence as part of the case file.

Witness Testimony

  1. Testimony Formats

  • Deposition Formats: Templates with placeholders for common attributes.

  • Template Population: Templates are populated based on attribute values.

  • Additional Content: Judges/Stenographers can add extra content during witness deposition recording.

  1. Record Witness Testimony

  • Multiple Witnesses: Support for multiple witnesses presented as evidence.

  • Witness Selection: Typists can select the witness for testimony recording from complainants, respondents, and added witnesses.

  • Tagging: At one point, 1 witness deposition may be tagged to ‘Complainants’ or ‘Respondents’.

  • Witness Addition: Ensure witnesses are added to the system before court presentation.

  • Real-time Recording: Typists can record witness testimony in writing during an Evidence Hearing, visible to judges in real-time (similar to transcripts).

  1. Witness Testimony Workflow

  • Digital Signing: Recorded testimonies are sent for digital signing to the witness, then to the judge.

  • Publication: Upon successful signing, testimonies are published in PDF format and auto-tagged as evidence.

  • Access: Published testimonies are available for view and download in the documents tab of the ‘View Case’ File screen.
