[Feature] Advocate Office Management Phace 1 & 2
A new Advocate Clerk role is introduced with OTP-based registration (similar to litigants), while Junior Advocates continue using the standard advocate registration without a separate role.
Clerks and junior advocates can be linked to advocates via the Manage Office module, where advocates can add members using their registered mobile number and assign permissions like filing cases.
The Clerk Home Page displays all cases and pending tasks across assigned advocate offices, with a new “Select Advocate Office” filter to view office-specific data.
In Sprint 1, clerks and junior advocates get default access to all cases of linked advocates, while Sprint 2 introduces case-level assignment controls and permission management.
Clerks can draft cases, applications, and documents, upload files, and make payments, but cannot e-sign, which remains restricted to advocates and litigants.
Any action performed by a clerk (like drafting or uploading documents) is sent to the advocate for review and e-sign, with clear visibility of the “Sender” and task tracking in pending actions.
The system supports multi-user collaboration with simple overwrite logic, where the latest saved version prevails, and includes visibility rules ensuring drafts are only accessible to relevant advocates, clerks, and parties until submission.
Certified True Copies
The Certified True Copies (CTC) feature enables users to digitally apply for, track, and obtain certified case documents via the ON Courts platform.
Users can access the feature from the Home Page or Services menu, with options to apply for copies or view application status.
Case search includes court selection and Case/CNR input with auto-suggestions, followed by OTP-based mobile verification to identify whether the user is a party to the case.
Party users can directly proceed without approval, while non-party users must submit an affidavit and require Judge approval.
Users can select documents from categorized lists; preview is available only for party users, while non-party users cannot view document previews.
The process includes e-sign/upload signing, draft resume capability, and a transparent fee structure: ₹20 application fee + ₹1.5 per page.
Applications are tracked via a dashboard with unique IDs (CA/{Number}/{Year}), and workflows include Judge approval (if required) and CMO issuance, with status tracking and document download
